Biography : Noémie Duclos graduated from the Kinesitherapy Institute, Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble (France) and obtained her M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in human movement sciences from Aix-Marseille Université. She did her postdoc followship in Montreal. She is currently an associated professor at the Université de Bordeaux. Her research interests are the control of the human postural and locomotor system. She has used tendinous vibratory stimulation applied on ankle tendons to better understand the hemispheric specificity for proprioceptive integration, that might contribute to postural deficits and risk of falls after stroke. She has also applied vibration on neck muscles in post-stroke individuals with spatial neglect, to modify their visuo-motor exploration of space and enable them to better interact with their environment. Her current work aims to consider neck vibration effects during ecological tasks in individuals with spatial neglect.
