Sport Performance and Injury Prevention
Research areas : Muscle Mechanical Properties, Sports Performance, Joint Stability, Injury Prevention, Vibration, Biomechanics.
The research work of the SPIP team will not only focus on performance and injury prevention in elite athletes, but also on populations of all levels and across lifespan. In addition of the analysis of the determinants of performance in sport and the factors of sports injury occurrence, the measures to optimize performance and prevention will also be investigated. Our work will also focus on the muscular mechanical properties (notably in sprinting and jumping, and for the hamstring muscles), mobility and joint stability (notably knee and shoulder), and locomotion in mountain environments characterized by verticality, gliding or altitude characteristics.
The scientific objectives of the SPIP team are divided into 3 axes detailed below : ♦ Mechanical muscle properties ♦ Joint mobility and stability ♦ Locomotion in mountain environment
