Research areas : Motor Imagery, Functional Recovery, Mental Training & Performance, Cerebral Plasticity.
The main scientific objective is to reinforce and pursue the scientific work that provided to the MP3 team a national and international visibility in the previous contracts, but also to develop new projects designed to investigate the neurophysiological correlates of mental training based on motor imagery. Experimental work will primarily focus on the application of mental training in the fields of motor learning and functional recovery.
The scientific project of the MP3 team will therefore focus on the relationships between ‘Mental processes, neuroplasticity and motor functions’, through three complementary facets /
♦ Motor imagery, features of mental training and performance
♦ Motor imagery and motor recovery
♦ Visuospatial abilities and cognitive training
