Bénédicte GUEGAN
After scientific secondary schooling, I obtained a multidisciplinary biomedical licence (B. Sc.) at Universités de Paris. My focus was on biology, physiology, neuroanatomy and central nervous system functionning. My third-year sport’s physiology course motivated my choice to do a master degree in physiology, adapted physical activity, health and nutrition. During the second year of my masters', I did a 6-month internship at UMRS-1124 under Pr Philippe Noirez. I studied the impact of citrulline supplementation on obese older adults performing high intensity interval training (HIIT). This study was part of an international project lead by University of Quebec at Montréal (UQAM). We investigated body composition and muscle metabolites changes. This internship allowed me to acquire a first experience in fundamental research, to improve my data analysis skills, and to contribute to a paper that is now published. Education ♦ Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences at “Université de Paris Descartes” Multidiciplinary, Biology curriculum ♦ Research Master's degree in Physiology, Adapted Physical Activity, Health and Nutrition (PAPASN), Universities of Paris
♦ 1st year Master degree: internship at Anses (French national institution, of health security of food, environment, and work). ♦ 2nd year Master degree: research internship at UMR - 1124-T3S (Team 1: Toxicology metabolism and Cellular Signaling -Metatox), Paris, FRANCE.
