Bruno DOHIN
Pediatric orthopedic surgeon, chief of staff, Professor in chair. PhD, Lyon 1 University, Claude Bernard, LBMC , Laurence Chèze PhD, professor in chair. PhD thesis in 2007: « Influence de la toxine botulique sur la vitesse angulaire articulaire chez l'enfant spastique marchant » under the direction of Pr Laurence Chèze. Research direction Habilitation in 2009. His main topic is gait and movement analysis in children. He was successively involved in 3 gait lab (Rehabilitation center l’Arche, Le Mans, Neurologic Hospital, University Hospital of Lyon, and LIBM, IRMIS, Saint Etienne University. He is highly involved in several medical society and professional society. He manages the Center of Medical Simulation Teaching, of the Saint Etienne University Medical School and the national program of Simulation Teaching for pediatric Surgery. Member of the LIBM laboratory, his main topic is evaluation and treatment of spasticity in children. He published 36 scientific papers and presented more than hundred national and international communications. He was involved in several pedagogic publications.
1. The prevention of the crankshaft phenomenon in neurological scoliosis is based on the anterior epiphysiodesis of the spine. 2. Panton's and Valentine's leukocidin-secreting staphylococcal bone infections must be treated with surgical reduction of the inoculum by iterative drainage of bony and extra bony abscesses. 3. Osteo-inducing proteins and in particular OP-1 have a positive effect on the consolidation of congenital pseudoarthrosis in children. 4. The biomechanical maturation of walking in children under 7 years of age is marked by a similar maturation to that of adults at 5 years of age. 5. Based on 3D joint moment and joint strength, it appears that the maturation of joint biomechanical characteristics is acquired at 4 years of age at the ankle and at 6 and 7 years of age at the knee and hip in children. |
