Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology and Physiology (2016-2018) Faculty of Science and Technology - Université Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne Master's degree in Health Engineering, Cellular and Tissue pathway (2018-2020) Faculty of Medicine - Jean Monnet Saint Etienne University
My experiences are not necessarily related to my position as my studies focused on the field of cell biology. Master 1 internship (SNA-EPIS): Characterisation of blood markers in patients with obstructive sleep apnoea. Master 2 internship (Adjuvatis - IBCP): Investigation of the therapeutic efficacy of autophagy-inducing nanoparticles in an in vitro model of hepatic steatosis. Project leader (LIBM - Dessintey - MPR Bellevue): Study of the effects of using mental representation techniques in rehabilitation on lower limb motor skills in stroke patients
Areas of expertise: ‣ Cell and tissue biology ‣ Nanomedicine ‣ Mental representation - Motor imaging - Mirror therapy ‣ Motor control ‣ Strokes and stroke patients
Development of a personalised physical activity recommendation application for patients with Fascioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD). In patients with facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), perceived fatigue and fatigability (i.e. objective reduction in performance) are among the most significant and disabling symptoms. Adapted physical activity (APA) reduces perceived fatigue, improves functioning and slows disease progression in FSHD patients. Nevertheless, evidence-based exercise prescription remains to be deployed for these patients. At present, exercise programmes in clinical practice are based on recommendations that are still too generic. This project therefore aims to determine the effect of individualised exercise programmes on perceived fatigue and fatigability in patients with FSHD, compared with traditional recommendations. Using the MOVINLAB application previously developed as part of a thesis project, various exercises adapted to the pathology will be designed and recorded, and the application's algorithm will be modified to take account of the specific characteristics of FSHD patients.
