Alexandre DELLAL
After obtaining two Master's in 2004-2005, (DESS "Physical preparation and management of sports teams" and DEA "Conditions of sports practice") Alexandre Dellal obtained his PhD in 2008 at the University of Strasbourg on "Analysis of physical activity of the footballer and its consequences for training orientation: specific application to intermittent exercises, high intensity races, and small-sided games". He was Assistant professor at the University of Strasbourg (2008-2009) and validated his HDR in 2015 at the University Claude Bernard (Lyon 1). He conducts research with the FIFA Medical Center of Excellence but is also at LIBM (formerly CRIS). Certified BEES 1 and BEES2 (DES football), he is first and foremost a full-time practitioner, an assistant coach in charge of physical preparation in football which has led him to participate in various international competitions in across the world (Champions League, Europa League, CAN, etc.). He is ranked among the top 40 football science researchers in the world. Alexander’s main research activities are aimed at optimizing footballer performance (reduced games, testing, workload management, recovery strategies) and injury prevention. Each study and experiment have a field application. This has enabled significant applications and advances in sports training (use of reduced games), and in the prevention of muscle damage. His work has been the subject of more than 70 international publications (H-index 41 and > 7392 citations, Source google scholar October 2021), and more than 12 published books (Éditions 4 trainer, DeBoeck University, Soccertutor, Perform ) in French and translated into several languages (Russian, Spanish, English, Italian, Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese).
