Yoann BLACHE
After having completed his PhD in 2012 (University of Lyon), Yoann has been assistant professor at the University of Lyon (2013, 2016), with, in-between, a post doctorate position of two years at the University of Montréal (2014-2015). He has then obtained a position of associate professor in 2016 at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. He is currently member of the team “Sport Performance and Injury Prevention (SPIP)” in the LIBM and has recently be elected as a board member of the “Société de Biomécanique”. Yoann’s research area is biomechanics. His first topic of research concerns the development of shoulder kinematic and musculoskeletal models. He has developed procedures to improve the estimation of scapular kinematics and shown the sensitivity of musculoskeletal models to shoulder kinematics. His second field of research is about anterior shoulder instability troubles. Especially, he works on primary prevention with the validation of shoulder functional tests or on secondary prevention after shoulder stabilization by surgery. His researches have been published in 38 articles in international indexed journals, with about 80% of them signed with a significant rank (first, second or last author).

1. Maximal isometric force and optimal muscle length are the two main parameters of Hill’s muscle model in the individualisation of musculo-skeletal modelling of the shoulder 2. Current algorithms for the quantification of shoulder kinematics can lead to considerable errors when shoulder contact forces are estimated through musculo-skeletal modelling. 3. “Muscle-focus” is a co-contraction index in dynamic muscles of the upper limb. |
