Camille BOISSON
Camille BOISSON obtained a Master degree (Integrative biology, physiology and neurosciences, specialty: physiology in extreme conditions) at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 2017. After one year in Austalia, in 2019, she joined the VBRBC team (LIBM laboratory) lead by Philippe Connes as an engineer for the SCOOP project that consisted to test the clinical usefulness of oxygen gradient ektacytometry in sickle cell disease: European project “Eurostar” involving the Netherlands, Germany and France (Lyon). Camille has been recruited as an engineer by the Hospices Civils de Lyon for the VBRBC team and she is responsible for the blood rheological analyzes in the different projects: DREPA-MUSCLE, DREPAPNEE, UTMB, PACAPh, VASCUSPHERO.
1. Oxygen-scan derived biomarkers are associated with vaso-occlusive crises and correlate with treatment responses in sickle cell disease. 2. Storage of blood samples affects Oxygen Scan parameters in sickle cell disease compared to fresh blood measurements. 3. Patients infected with Covid-19 have abnormalities in red blood cell rheology. |
